Samarco supports projects to boost tourism in the community of Anchieta (ES)

Samarco signed a partnership with the Belo Horizonte Residents' Association (ACOBHE), from Anchieta (ES), this Friday (Sep-02). The company will support the implementation of landscaping and garden projects in urban spaces, contracting for the preparation of the architectural design for the restoration and expansion of the community's living space and digital management, universally-read tourist signage on access roads and signage identification of projects. Approximately BRL 250 thousand will be invested. The projects will benefit more than 270 residents.

The initiative provides for actions to encourage tourism in the community and is part of the company's Institutional and Social Investment Policy, which aims at supporting projects for socioeconomic development and economic diversification in the territories where it operates.

“This structuring of the Belo Horizonte community is in line with our policy of sharing value with society. These are projects that will expand tourist demand, optimize urban resources, in addition to providing improvements in infrastructure and tourist signage and diversification of spaces,” said Samarco Institutional Relations analyst Lídia Praça.

The president of ACOBHE, Maria de Jesus Alves Ferreira, said to have good expectations with the action. “The project will totally change the image of the community, which already has a hospitable tourist trend. In addition to bringing to us the recognition that we are capable of walking with our own two legs”, highlighted Maria de Jesus.
