This search is carried out on the Samarco Supplier Portal. Therefore, it is important for the supplier to keep their data up to date, including the description of the services and/or materials they provide. We can also prospect potential suppliers in the market; however, registration must be completed until the technical stage of the contracting process is completed.

The bidders invited to participate in the acquisition process, when the technical evaluation is required, will receive the email of the “Invitation Letter” from the person in charge of contracting in Supplies containing the technical documentation, Samarco general guidelines and the schedule with the steps of the process of contracting. The careful reading of the guidelines for the correct preparation of proposals is highly recommended.

The supplier qualification process will observe the basic principles of impersonality, morality, economy and quality. Its purpose is the selection and evaluation so that the quality of supplied services and material meet regulatory and good practice requirements. Qualification is carried out based on our Code of Conduct, respecting technical and other process criteria such as quality, price, delivery time and service. The requirements may vary for each contracting process, and the bidder must observe, upon receipt of the invitation letter, which are the mandatory requirements.

Technical proposals are received at Samarco via e-mail from the person in charge of the contracting process, with the criteria established in the invitation letter. The commercial proposal will be received via Mercado Eletrônico. Samarco may promote one or more negotiation rounds, seeking better supply conditions.

After the qualification and final negotiation conducted by the person in charge of the process, the contract is reviewed internally. Where applicable, signatures to the draft agreement will be collected via Docusign.
