Samarco deeply regrets the collapse of the Fundão dam, a milestone that will never be forgotten. The company reaffirms its commitment to remediation and compensation for the damage caused to people, communities and the environment.

The Renegotiation Agreement executed on October 25th, which is currently in ratification phase, legitimizes Brazil as the appropriate legal venue to complete the remediation. With its ratification, the company will fully and definitively complete the compensation, resettlement and environmental rehabilitation of the Rio Doce watershed.
