Samarco files for judicial recovery plan

Plan establishes terms and conditions of payment to the company's Creditors

Belo Horizonte, 10-Jun-2021 - Samarco has filed this Thursday, Jun-10, the Judicial Recovery plan offered to Creditors as part of the process already accepted by the Brazilian Courts.

The proposal presents details of the terms and conditions for the debt restructuring.

The purpose of Judicial Recovery is to allow the company to maintain its production activities. Samarco’s terms are adequate and present the best solution that enables Samarco to continue operating, contributing to the local economy of Minas Gerais and Espirito Santo, and funding the Renova Foundation’s remediation and compensation work.

Samarco reinforces that the Judicial Recovery will have no impact on the remediation actions provided for in the Conduct Adjustment and Transaction Agreement (TTAC) that are being undertaken by Renova Foundation.
