Belo Horizonte, April 12, 2021 - Samarco was granted the application for Judicial Reorganization filed on April 9 at the Minas Gerais Court. The decision guarantees protection against lawsuits for the execution of debts with creditors, which are mostly foreign funds that hold debt securities ("bondholders").

Samarco is a company, with over 40 year of operation and it generates Jobs, local economic activity and community support it is also continuing the remediation and compensation programs underway through the legally approved programs. It should be noted that JR is not expected to affect any of operational activities and the company’s obligation and commitments towards Renova foundation. In adittion, it does not impact the Renova’s ability to undertake remediation and compensation.
