Estação Samarco returns to Espírito Santo in July, bringing training and qualification to communities in Anchieta and Guarapari

Registration for the first stop, in Benevente, Anchieta, will open on July 13, with classes starting on July 28

Following the success of the 2025 edition, the Estação Samarco program returns to Espírito Santo this year. Starting this month, the mobile vocational training and qualification project will travel to nine communities in Espírito Santo, focusing on income generation, productive inclusion, and local development. The first stop will be in Benevente and Nova Jerusalém, in Anchieta, on the southern coast, with registration open from July 13 to 27. Classes in Entrepreneurship and Tourism, Sustainable Culinary Arts, and Beauty and Aesthetics will begin on July 28.

Carried out by Samarco in partnership with NTICS Projetos — a Brazilian social and environmental innovation company with over two decades of established experience in developing educational solutions and impact projects aimed at strengthening communities — the program will deliver in-person and digital training to the localities of Benevente, Nova Jerusalém, Ubu, Parati, Recanto do Sol, and Mãe-Bá, in Anchieta, as well as Meaípe and Condados, in Guarapari.

During this first stop in Benevente and Nova Jerusalém, three courses will take place: July 28 – Initial Trail (Entrepreneurship and Tourism), at CRAS Benevente; August 3 to 7 – Culinary Trail (Sustainable Culinary Arts), also at CRAS Benevente; and August 10 to 14 – Beauty Trail (Aesthetics), at the Nova Jerusalém Community Center.

Following Benevente, the subsequent stages will be announced according to the program's schedule.

Estação Samarco seeks to bring qualification opportunities closer to communities, offering technical and practical content in the areas of gastronomy, beauty, and aesthetics, alongside an initial trail focused on entrepreneurship.

In 2025, Estação Samarco traveled through ten municipalities in Espírito Santo with four mobile learning units, offering over 4,000 hours of free training and qualification in areas such as Gastronomy, Health and Aesthetics, Beauty, and Technology. In total, 835 people were qualified, strengthening income generation, employability, and local economic dynamism — a foundation that now sustains the project's expansion into new regions.

"The program was structured to stimulate economic autonomy and strengthen local talents, creating real opportunities for individuals who wish to build a business or increase their income," says Gabriela Bardavid, Samarco's Social Impact Manager.

Practical training and qualification and opportunity creation

The training journey is structured in stages, beginning with introductory content covering entrepreneurship, digital marketing, and other skills for the workforce. Next, participants can choose specialization trails with over 50 hours of coursework, combining in-person and digital activities. The training modules are free of charge, require no formal educational background, and provide certification upon completion.

"Estação Samarco was designed as a mobile program, capable of moving through regions and creating concrete opportunities for qualification and income generation within the cities. The goal is to connect knowledge, entrepreneurship, and local development in an accessible way that aligns with people's reality," says Lucas Rotta, Coordinator at NTICS.

The 2026 caravan began its journey through Minas Gerais in June.
