Samarco hosts Q&A event on the PID in Colatina on August 5 and 6

Samarco will host, on August 5 and 6, a Q&A event regarding the Definitive Indemnity Program (PID) in Colatina (ES).  The service will be provided from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Associação Cultural e Desportiva de São Silvano (Rua Antônio Engrácio, No. 139 - São Silvano Neighborhood), aimed at guiding the population on the operation of the program and answering questions from potentially eligible participants.

During the Q&A event, Samarco’s team will be available to provide information on who can participate in the PID, the eligibility criteria, the required documentation, and the procedure for applying for the program.  The initiative seeks to facilitate access to information and offer direct assistance to the population during this final stage of the application period.

The PID remains open until August 15, 2026.  Those who are still eligible and meet the criteria should not wait until the last minute to apply.
The reopening of the program covers eligible natural persons and legal entities that had not yet applied for the PID, as well as specific cases of applications terminated due to an invalid power of attorney.

Since the reopening of the PID on May 18 of this year, nearly 14,000 new applications have already been registered, over 10,000 agreements have been executed, and nearly 9,000 payments have been made.  Since the creation of the program, more than 315,000 people have already been indemnified, totaling approximately R$ 11.6 billion in payments.
