Samarco participates in a debate at Findes on prospects and opportunities for Espírito Santo.

The Director of Operations, Sérgio Mileipe, participated in the discussions on the prospects and opportunities for the Espírito Santo (ES) supply chain, in an event promoted by the Federation of Industries of Espírito Santo (Findes). The meeting, held on Tuesday (30/05), in Vitória, brought together representatives of companies in the areas of oil and gas, pulp and paper, mining and steel, and was attended by the deputy governor, Ricardo Ferraço.

The investment scenario foreseen for the State and for Brazil, between 2023 and 2027, was one of the topics discussed. “Initiatives like this are opportunities for us to exchange experiences and evaluate possible advances for the socioeconomic development of the State. Actions that contribute to the improvement of suppliers such as Força Local, for example, are a way of sharing value with society, in alignment with our purpose”, highlighted Mileipe.

The Samarco director presented data on the company's production and spoke about the plans to increase production capacity gradually and safely. Between the resumption of operations, in December 2020, and December 2022, more than 16 million pellets and pellet feed were produced. Currently, the company is operating at 26% of its capacity and should reach 100% in 2028.
