Samarco Mineração received the Safe Industry Seal (Selo Indústria Segura), awarded by the Military Fire Department of Espírito Santo (CBMES) in recognition of the safety, prevention, and emergency management practices adopted by the company. The certification was delivered last Wednesday, July 1, during the 16th Espírito Santo Seminar on Fire and Panic Safety (SESCiP), held in Vitória, and is part of the Safe Espírito Santo (Espírito Santo Seguro) project, an initiative by CBMES.
"Receiving the Safe Industry Seal (Selo Indústria Segura) is recognition of the continuous work carried out by our teams to strengthen prevention and preparedness for emergency situations. It demonstrates Samarco's commitment to structured processes, qualified professionals, and integrated operations," stated Lindomar Mesquita, Safety Manager at Ubu.
For Rômulo Mendes, Occupational Health and Safety Technician at Samarco — who received the seal alongside Alysson Werneck, General Manager of Ubu Complex Operations— the recognition reflects a collective, long-term effort. "This recognition symbolizes Samarco's permanent commitment to protecting life and preventing risks. It is the result of extensive planning, investments, training, drills, and constant improvements in our processes," he highlighted.
