Samarco Station launches itinerant journey of free professional training and qualification in Minas Gerais and Espírito Santo

The program offers courses in gastronomy, beauty, and entrepreneurship across 17 locations

Registrations are open until June 15 for the 2026 edition of Samarco Station (Estação Samarco), a free itinerant professional training program that will visit 17 communities in Minas Gerais and Espírito Santo, focusing on professional qualification, income generation, and territory development.

The first stop will be in Catas Altas, Minas Gerais, which will host Samarco Station at Sala Mineira (located at the headquarters of the Municipal Secretariat for Economic Development, at Rua Joaquim José Loureiro, 214, Downtown). Registrations must be submitted via the link https://ntics.com.br/estacao-samarco/ until June 15. The classes will begin on June 16. In Espírito Santo, registrations for the program will begin in late July.

In 2025, the project consolidated its operations in Espírito Santo by visiting ten municipalities with mobile teaching units. It provided more than 4,000 hours of free classes, resulting in the training of 835 people. In 2026, the program expands its reach and arrives in Minas Gerais for the first time.

In total, 17 locations will be served, eight of which are in Minas Gerais (Catas Altas, Antônio Pereira, Brumal, Camargos, Paracatu de Baixo, Novo Bento Rodrigues, Santa Rita Durão, and Mariana - municipal seat) and nine in Espírito Santo (Benevente, Nova Jerusalém, Ubu, Parati, Recanto do Sol, Mãe-Bá, Meaípe, and Condados), in a training journey connected to the economic and cultural potential of each territory.

The courses combine in-person and digital activities in the fields of gastronomy, beauty and aesthetics, as well as introductory content on entrepreneurship. The program is carried out in partnership with NTICS, a Brazilian social and environmental innovation company with more than two decades of experience in developing educational solutions.

Practical training and focus on income

The program is structured in stages that combine initial training and professionalizing trails, with a workload exceeding 50 hours, distributed between in-person and digital activities. The first phase features content focused on entrepreneurship, digital marketing, tourism, and initial applications of technology in daily professional routines. Subsequently, participants can join the specialization trails in gastronomy or beauty.

In addition to technical qualification, the initiative stimulates local micro-entrepreneurship, expands work perspectives, and strengthens the social capital of communities. “The program was structured to foster economic autonomy and value local talents, creating real opportunities for those who wish to venture into business or increase their income,” highlights Gabriela Bardavid, Social Impact Manager at Samarco.
