Samarco's Officer of Planning and Operations, Sérgio Mileipe, took office as institutional officer of the Decision-making Council of the Espírito Santo Business Movement (ES em Ação), this Tuesday (Jul-26), along with the six new members who will work in the 2022/2025 triennium. The company is one of the partners of ES em Ação, main purpose of which is to promote the socioeconomic development of the State. In the last administration, Mileipe occupied the board of Innovation and Business Network of the entity.

“ES em Ação has played a fundamental role in identifying and promoting projects for the growth of the State, along with initiatives that bring benefits to the population, such as expanding the supply of jobs and services. The principles are in line with Samarco's policy of sharing value with society”, highlighted Sérgio Mileipe.

In early July, Samarco signed a donation agreement with ES em Ação, to transfer BRL 1 million to the restoration and rehabilitation project of the Radium Hotel, in Guarapari (ES). The initiative is part of Samarco's Institutional and Social Investment Policy, which identifies projects that generate value for the population of the municipalities where the company operates. The action will promote tourism, generate employment, income and economic development in the region.
