Samarco, through the Força Local program, held business meetings in Mariana (MG) and Guarapari (ES), on Nov-26 and Dec-03, respectively. The initiative aimed at boosting new business among local entrepreneurs beyond mining, in order to foster socioeconomic development in the territories where the company operates. In total, 97 suppliers from the two States participated in the second edition of the initiative.
In Minas Gerais, entrepreneurs from Mariana, Ouro Preto, Catas Altas, and Santa Bárbara participated in the meeting. Matheus Braga Ferreira Silva, who works in the electronic security and technology sector at the company Vigiez Segurança, in Mariana, celebrates that being part of Força Local allowed him to expand relationships, strengthen business ties, and make new contacts. “I have been participating in the program since the beginning and the results are always very positive.”
In Espírito Santo, the meeting had representatives from Guarapari, Anchieta and Piúma. Businesspeople had the opportunity to present their companies, fostering collaborative experiences and strengthening connections.
The dynamics of the meeting allowed for the exchange of experiences, contributing to the development of companies. The coordinator of the Força Local program, Elisangela Toledo, explained that the meeting was inspired by the Sebrae video called: 'As voltas que o dinheiro dá’. (Money comes ang goes) " By valuing local products and services, we contribute to strengthening the local economy, the territory also develops and everyone wins. And I truly believe in the potential of a strong and connected network, with entrepreneurs working together for a prosperous ecosystem", highlighted Elisangela.
Businesswoman Namíbia Marques, representative of the company Delta BPO Soluções Integradas, from Guarapari, participated in the event and confirmed that Força Local has generated positive results for her business. " The program was a turning point. I was able to close four new contracts and expand my work team. More than a methodology, I see Samarco's commitment to developing local entrepreneurs".
Força Local
This is a program dedicated to local suppliers with the purpose of fostering development in the territories where Samarco operates in Minas Gerais and Espírito Santo. It seeks to develop and disseminate the culture of integrated management processes in tune with the reality of companies to meet their immediate needs, improve business efficiency and effectiveness and optimize their results, creating conditions of autonomy so that they can build solid foundations for their sustainability and growth. The initiative completed four years in October of this year, with disbursements from Samarco and contracted companies of approximately BRL 3 billion, impacting approximately 16 thousand people with qualification and development actions. The fourth edition of the Local Suppliers Catalog was recently released, with 630 companies from different areas.
